Peanut butter & Jelly Sandwich
My recipe for making a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich proved to be disaster. My instructions were no where near detailed enough for a computer to follow them properly. Instead of opening the Peanut Butter jar and scooping out some and spreading on a slice of bread, the computes spread the jar itself on the bread, same with the jelly. My recipe would have been good enough for a human to follow but not a computer. Although the computer learned as it went, so it performed better with other people's algorithm, even though they had same steps as mine. A computer needs extremely detailed and specific specific steps and in order or sequential programming.
If I were to write the set of instructions or the algorithm as it were, again, then I would make use of iteration to repeat certain steps a certain number of times and/or conditional statements to repeat certain steps a certain number of times until the condition is met.
I would also make sure that the algorithm does not have any logical errors (write steps that make sense) and/or syntax errors (write instructions that the computer is able to follow, use correct words and symbols) and if there were, I would have to debug them.
